The Pink Tax: Pure Misogyny
The Pink Tax: Pure Misogyny
If you don't know what pink tax is, let me explain it what it is, when was it introduced, why was it introduced, and how we can try and abolish it (even though I highly think it's impossible to).
«What's The Pink Tax?»
The pink tax is an injustice induced by society, and it basically consists in doubling or even tripling prices of womanly products that for men aren't, even if they're the exact same.
For example, the Dove deodorant made for men (250 ml) in Italy costs €2.95, while the Dove deodorant made for women (200 ml) costs €3.56. Not only the women's deodorant costs more, but it has less product than in the men's one. In my opinion, this is completely unfair.
But the pink tax isn't just making prices for men products cheaper, but it's also making crazy, high prices for products that men don't even use such as tampons (average price: $8.98), sanitary pads (average price: $6.50).
And pills like Buscofen that relieve menstrual pain cost more than Ibuprofen, which are unisex. Buscofen's price, in the U.S., is more than the 7% of Ibuprofen's price!
«But Why Does This Pink Tax Exist?»
Why does the pink tax exist? To make women suffer? As if they earn more money than men!
Although, there isn't an exact cause of this injustice, and, in my opinion, the pink tax was introduced because who made this law thought that us women need more products than men because we're spoiled brats and not because we actually need them to "survive".
«How Can We Abolish The Pink Tax?»
Well, we can't abolish the pink tax as long as who makes these prices dies, but, to not pay more for female products, we could buy unisex or men products.
For example, we could buy men razors (which are better for down there shaving), buy brands that practice fair pricing, like Cora, which has good tampons as far as material is concerned, or Always, that has good pads, for the same reasons as Cora's tampons.
That's all I had to say for today's post!
Have a good day/afternoon/evening/night!

P.S. I'm sorry if I didn't post anything for two months, but I didn't have any other ideas for an argument, and lately my Wi-Fi had some issues.
