Angry Women Will Change the World: Introduction to "Breaking the Silence"
Angry Women Will Change The World: Introduction to "Breaking the Silence"
It's 2025.
And we still have to fight over this.
We fight for our rights.
We fight for our freedom.
We fight for our daughters.
We fight for our mothers.
We fight for our sisters
We fight for the shut down voices.
We fight for our happiness.
It's scandalous that all this is degenerating in some parts of the world.
In Afghanistan, for example, women can't even talk amongst themselves.
They can't even speak to a man doctor, even if it's their lives we're talking about.
We can't even wear whatever we want anymore, due to all the fear we feel.
Fear of being sexually assaulted.
Fear of being raped.
Or in extreme cases, fear of being killed by our toxic ex-partner/ex-husband/ex-boyfriend if they found out.
For over two centuries (from the 19th century to nowadays) we've been trying to raise our voices.
We've been trying to get our rights.
We've been seeking to reclaim the voices of those who could not raise them, who weren't able to do it.
But there will always be sexist, stuck-up men who'll fight against us.
Who'll win because society decides so.
And this mess needs to end right now, because it's unacceptable that in the so-called future women still have to suffer.
